The Undergraduate Degree

The Department offers both a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a minor in Environmental Science. The minor requires a minimum of 18 semester hours in biology, geology, or environmental science courses including a minimum of three upper-division (3000 or above) courses.

Core Requirements 46 semester hours
Associated Requirements 19 semester hours

The Graduate Degrees

The Department offers three graduate degrees, the Master of Science in Environmental Science (MS), the Master of Arts in Environmental Science (MA), and
the Master in Environmental Management (MEM).

 
Master of Science Requirements:
Core Requirements 6 semester hours
Electives 18 semester hours
Thesis 6 semester hours
Total Hours Required 30 semester hours
 
Master of Arts Requirements:
Core Requirements 6 semester hours
Electives 27-30 semester hours
Elective Internship 3 semester hours
Total Hours Required 36 semester hours
 
Master of Environmental Management Requirements:
Core Requirements 30 semester hours
Electives 6 semester hours
Total Hours Required 36 semester hours
